For your own samples MicroCombiChem offers HPLC-MS analytics, preparation, purification as well as the isolation and the identification of complex sample components.
If you have no method information, we will choose or develop fitting methods. The more information you provide with the sample, the lower will be the efforts. HPLC-MS Analytical Services
- Basic HPLC-MS scans: In a basic HPLC-MS scan with the adequate method, we have a look into your sample and report to you an overview about its content. In such a simple scan lots of information already can be gained and competent interpretations will be given. In our simplest service you give us the sample and we provide you with the scans for your own interpretation.
- Estimation of Purity Values: We estimate the purity of the components in your sample (accuracy: ± 0.5%). Due to the applied technique of Liquid Chromatography the obtained purity value is relative to all solvable components.
- Complex HPLC-MS interpretations:
The more you want to know about your sample, the more we step up our examinations.
These include:
- the usage and the development of different chromatographical methods
- comparisons to reference materials
- the separation of components for re-chromatographical studies or for further analytical methods like NMR. Having our synthetical and chemical experiences in background, we think through the probable causes for side products and contaminations, and finally we verify our ideas by experimental examinations (See also the next point below: Analysis of the structural formula) - Analysis of the structural formula of components:
We are able to analyse and to determine the structural formula of components in your sample (with proportions down to 1%). In many cases the structural formula can be obtained with low efforts already. In particular when information about the source of the sample is given possible structural formulas can be considered and then be verified. The respective component can be separated for further analyses like NMR. By the usage of complementary analytical methods, like HPLC-MS and NMR, the structural formula can be obtained in many cases.
The final and most stringent evidence is the analytical comparison to reference material. If the supposed compound is not available from other sources, we synthesize the compound in our own labs. Thus by relying on our services you will have the essential studies on your sample from one source, by this accelerating and optimizing the whole study. - Development of LC, HPLC or HPLC-MS methods for your in-house usage: We help you to develop methods for LC, HPLC or HPLC-MS for your own use in your labs. Also, on request we provide you with protocols of the methods, which we used for obtaining the results for your current sample report.
Isolation, Preparation and Purification
We offer the isolation, preparation, purification and work-up of single components from a raw sample, or from complex mixtures. This service is usually possible for components with proportions down to 1%, or in some cases also with components in lower amounts.
Crystallization and the Generation of Pure Compounds with Reference Quality
Crystallization of compounds is a speciality of our chemical lab experts and is applied as our favourite technique for each final purification. High purity qualities (≥99%) are achieved like presumed for the production of reference material (analytical standards).
